Legal Voice has long been a leader in the region and the nation in the fight for equality for all women. To further that mission, we bring lawsuits and work to pass legislation opposing discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. We have worked on all fronts to put an end to discriminatory employment practices, family laws that fail to recognize and protect "non-traditional" families, and other forms of discrimination against LGBT people.
Current Action
- Fighting for marriage equality
- Working to ensure legal recognition and protection of LGBT families and parents in all Northwest states
- Educating the public about Washington's domestic partner law and advocating for fair implementation and enforcement of the law
- Advocating for survivors of anti-LGBT violence and harassment
