Legal Voice has long been a leader in the region and the nation in the fight for equality for all women. To further that mission, we bring lawsuits and work to pass legislation opposing discrimination against lesbian, gay, bisexual and transgender people. We have worked on all fronts to put an end to discriminatory employment practices, family laws that fail to recognize and protect "non-traditional" families, and other forms of discrimination against LGBT people.
Current Action
- Fighting for marriage equality
- Working to ensure that all families have the protections and benefits they need
- Educating the public about Washington's new domestic partner laws enacted in 2007, 2008 and 2009, and advocating fair implementation and enforcement of these laws
